Why we like them

What stood out to us initially was Pelle’s simple, and delicate design. We loved that it looked gentle, non-intimidating, and refined. We approached with curiosity as there aren’t many products geared towards non-penetrative and non-vibrational pleasure. Pleasure isn’t one dimensional, and seeing an innovative (and beautiful!) sex toy that promoted inclusivity was refreshing. There are so many ways to approach orgasm and if there is a tool that can help us find new ways in getting there – we’re game.

What was it like to open an adult toy store in a country that’s still pretty conservative?

Honestly, it was pretty scary at first! In just our second week, we received some backlash in the Facebook community group where we lived, for posting an ad of our products (with approval from the admin, of course!)

A couple of months later, we drew flak from my alma mater (a private Chinese Catholic school) when they found out we had ventured into this business. So it was a challenge to get into it! Thankfully, we found more people on our side who understood our purpose, and they were the ones who really pushed us to keep going!

What is your favourite product at the moment?

Chiko Wearable Clit Sucker + Vibrator! I will never not recommend this!! Everyone who’s tried it has left great reviews, and no one has been disappointed so far!

How do you hope to grow in the next several years?

We definitely want to target more areas in the Philippines and abroad! We’ve had numerous people from other countries inquire if our products are available overseas, so we’re hoping we can bring the pleasure to them!

What are some of your biggest challenges?

One of our biggest challenges is breaking the stigmas surrounding adult toys and the people who use them. The notion that individuals who engage in these activities are “not pure”, “disgusting”, or “have no dignity” is an unfair narrative based on patriarchal and religious beliefs.

Through our social media digests, we aim to send the message that pleasure is a human right that does not change anyone’s character. We hope to empower more people to explore themselves through this message.
